Remy Meijer belongs to one of the top Dutch interior designers of today. He took the challange to redesign the interior of an old villa that have bin used by nons for several decades. The floor plan of this villa, built in 1906, located in a monumental part of Amersfoort, was nothing wrong. The characteristic and clear layout, with various living areas on both the left and right of the elegant entrance, served as the starting point for a thorough restoration. The entire interior has been rebuilt, so that it is not only future-proof, but also meets today’s comfort needs. In short, the quality of the past has been translated to now. The history of the building offered enough starting points for this. In the new design, the stately facades and entrance still breathe the atmosphere of a bygone era.
